Terms of Service

Welcome to fram.d. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and fram.d ("fram.d", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the fram.d mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use fram.d. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.
2. Your account
You create an account with an email and password through Firebase Authentication and choose a unique username. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your username appropriate and not misleading.
3. Your content
"Your Content" means the photos, audio notes, captions, notes, and other material you add to the Service. You own your content. You are solely responsible for it and represent that you have all rights necessary to upload and share it, and that it does not violate any law or the rights of others.
4. License to us
To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and the people you tag. This license exists only so we can show your memories to you and your tagged friends; it ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to reasonable backup and legal-retention periods.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload content you don't have the right to share.
- Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, or abusive material.
- Upload sexual content involving minors or any illegal content.
- Impersonate others or tag people to harass or deceive them.
- Violate anyone's privacy or intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service.
6. Tagging others
fram.d lets you tag friends by username so a memory appears in their timeline. Only tag people who were genuinely part of the moment and who would reasonably expect to be included. People you tag can view the memory and add their own notes. If you are tagged in a memory you don't want, you may remove it from your timeline.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — including the fram.d name, logo, app, design, and software — is owned by fram.d and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we will handle your content as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of memories that matter to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, fram.d and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
